Further information Lane Head church is situated on High Road, the main A462 road, which runs from Wednesbury to M6 J11. The original building was erected in 1864 on the opposite side of the road. History: The church was build by a group of elderly men in the ‘village’ after one of them returned from a rally at Mow Cop and inspired them with his report on the event. It has been known ever since as “Grandad’s Chapel.” The current building was designed as a dual purpose building in 1961 at the rear of land owned by the church, with the intention of a new church being build in front of it, but this never came to fruition.
 Forthcoming Events

Saturday February 20th 2010 there will be an Open Day at the Church from 10am til 1pm.  This will celebrate the work and witness carried out from our current buildings over the years.  This will include Displays, Music, Refreshments and a final act of worship from 12.30 till 1pm. 

The premises will cease to be used after the last Sunday in February. 

From March 1st, all activities will take place at Short Heath Methodist Church and we shall share with them in Sunday Morning Worship from then on.  We shall be maintaining our own Church Council, officers and funds.
