SMILE FOR THE  MONTH

A man owned a small farm in Scotland. The Inland Revenue claimed he was not paying proper wages to his staff and sent a representative out to interview him.

“I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them” demanded the representative.

“Well” replied the farmer, “there’s my farmhand who has been with me for three years. I pay him £200 a week plus free room and board

The cook has been here for 18 months, and I pay her £150 per week plus free room and board.

Then there’s the half-wit. He works about 18 hours every day and does about ninety per cent of all the work around here. He makes about £10 a week, pays his own board and room and I buy him a bottle of whisky every Saturday night. He also sleeps with my wife occasionally.”

“That’s the guy I want to talk to – the half-wit” said the agent.

“That would be me” replied the farmer.

IF KINDNESS DOESN’T CURE – DOUBLE THE DOSE.

Further Information Brownhills Methodist Church is an “Alpine” style building sited by the side of the open-air market in Silver Street Brownhills. The Church was opened in April 1967 and last year celebrated its’ 40th Anniversary. The Church was formed from the amalgamation of the Congregations of the two Methodist Chapels that were a hundred yards apart on the High Street in Brownhills. These were the Mount Zion Chapel and the Wesleyan Chapel. The Church is equipped with the re-built pipe organ originally from the Mount Zion Chapel. The pipes are now at the rear of the Church and the Console at the front of the Church.A Joyous Welcome to You From The Brownhills Methodist ChurchWe are delighted you are visiting our website.
